Hey everyone,

I’m Priya, and I’m excited to share my journey with you as I embark on a transformative path with the DCI Dental Surgery Assistant Program. Hailing from Wellawatte and previously residing in the Sri Lankadhara Children’s Home in Colombo, my early years were marked by tragedy when my father passed away in a sinkhole accident when I was just 4 years old.

After my father’s death, life took a difficult turn as my family moved to my aunt’s house, and then I spent time in Pamunugama Children’s Home. At 16, I relocated to Sri Lankadhara Children’s Home to continue my schooling, losing contact with my mother along the way.

Despite the challenges, I found inspiration in a former program graduate from the same children’s home. Their positive change motivated me to pursue a similar path in my life.

Now, with aspirations of working in Korea as a dental assistant after completing the program and gaining five years of experience, I am determined to reshape my future. In my leisure time, you’ll often find me drawing, listening to music, or dancing. These activities bring me joy and allow me to express myself creatively.

This journey is a significant step forward for me, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to pursue my dreams. I hope you’ll join me in cheering as I reshape my future with determination and hope!
